The Masquerade

Lyric entered the ballroom with Arabella on his arm, seemingly unable to look away from her.
"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" he asked. She smiled shyly behind her full face porcelin mask and looked into his eyes. "You look quite handsome as well," she replied.
Lyric's tall frame was dressed in an Armani tuxedo, and his dark, wavy locks fell pleasently around his half face mask. A long, dark red silk tie complemented Arabella's glowing red strapless dress. The bodice hugged her form and sparkled with diamond pendants. The skirt of her ball gown swept elegantly to the floor, hiding her red silk heels. Dark silky hair cascaded down her back, and a ruby and diamond necklace sat delacatly around her throat.
Both Arabella's and Lyric's masks were made of white porcelin with ornate gold designs. Arabella looked through the eyeholes of her mask, taking in the beauty of the scene before her. The atmosphere, the masks, the dresses, it was breathtaking. Tinkling laughter floated through the gentle mummer of voices. "Come on," she said "let's go meet the other guests." "As you wish." he replied, and escorted her into the crowd.

Jon quickly grabbed Rochelle by the waist, whisking her away to the dance floor to dance the night away.

"Welcome Arabella! A beautiful name! How are you tonight?" Aline asked.
So far, she had a pretty good idea who lay beneath the masks, but the mystery and intrigue were far too interesting to do anything just yet.

As they danced, Eden and McKenize bumped into another couple dancing. The woman was wearing a beautiful halter top v-neck dress. "Oh, my apologies," Eden said, "That was my fault. I was leading."

Simon makes a move to go greet more people but Isabelle holds him back.
"what isabelle?"
She holds on to his sleeve. "let's just dance more. Give me some time to get their names down. I have a pretty bad memory for names.. " she laughs nervously. "It's pretty ironic when i'm a shaowhunter, huh?"
Simon takes her hand and spins her around. "No. its ok. But you're still having fun?"
Isabelle smiles a little. "most definately."

Cayden and Klayre are now slowly dancing around the intricate ballroom.
Klayre is resting her head against Cayden's chest. Cayden lovingly is watching Klayre. He occasionally leans closer to her, pressing his lips to her eaar and whispers sweet lovingness in her ear as the magic whisks them into a dream like euphoria

As Damion continued to place butterfly kisses down Alex's neck, he pulled something out from one of his pockets and clasped it around their wrists.
Alex looked down at the sound of the clasping noise and whispered into Damion's ear, "I thought that we were going to save the shackles for the after party." Damion grinned as she said this.
"It's too bad that I can't wait. May I have this dance?" He asked as he led her to where the rest were dancing, careful of the shackles he had placed around their wrists.
As they began twirling like the rest Damion was shocked to find how easy it was to dance while chained to his lover.

James took Aimee Lynn's hand and they escaped into a back room. They came out about 5 minutes later towing a DJ mix board. Aimee looked around warily as her husband took a microphone and started speaking loudly to the crowd. "Hello everyone! I'll be your DJ tonight. Just shout out whatever song you want to hear, and i'll play it for you." Aimee just shook her head, but was smiling. Her husband was obsessed with music, but she loved him for that.

Rochelle laughed as she almost fell, caught just in the nic of time by Jon. "Would you like to go get some refreshments, my love?" Jon asked. Rochelle smiled and nodded.

McKenize laughed. "Play Down With The Sickness!" she yelled.
Eden shook his head. "That's really not appropriate for the occasion, dearest."
McKenize merely shrugged.

Rochelle walks over to McKenize and Eden with Jon and their punch, shaking her head. "I disagree. Since when are Twilight lovers calm enough for masquerades?"

Isabelle saw the french doors leading to the balcony and tugged at Simon.
"Come on, just for a moment. " she whispered, giddy.
"just a moment." Oh yes. He knew what she had planned. He went eagerly.
As soon as they were out in the cool night air, she pulled him to the side on the doors to gain some privacy and began to kiss him sweetly, pulling him as close as possible to her body.

"Hello Aline, it's very nice to meet you." Arabella replied, winking discreetly behind her mask. "Your dress is beautiful!"
As the girls complemented each other, the men shook hands and chatted briefly. Lyric glanced over at the dance floor where masked couples waltzed gracefully. He took Arabella's hand and kissed it, drawing her attention. "Would you care to dance?" He asked. "I would love to." she replied. "It was very nice to meet you, I hope we will be able to guess who you are very soon." Lyric and Arabella politely excused themselves and joined the waltz.

James smiled at the first request. "This has been requested by the lovely McKenize" and he turned on Down With The Sickness.

Feeling just a little bit left out at the sight of all the lovers running off together, Aline siezed Rylan by the lapels of his coat and kissed him passionately. Her mouth glided over his. Despite his initial shock, Rylan managed to kiss her back. Cradling the back of her neck in his hands, he bent her backward, further deepening the kiss. They broke away gasping from the intensity, and Rylan continued on down her neck, nibbling up and down the smooth, pale column until their breathing had calmed.
"Well, I'm not sure where that cam--"Rylan started but was cut off by Aline's lips. Oh, nevermind, he thought.
She continued to press little kisses to his lips, until finally she was satisified. For now, she smirked mentally.
"Mmm..thanks love,"Aline purred.
Rylan barely murmured a reply. Ah, she was something else.

Isabelle broke the long, intense kiss, breathing hard. "Should.. we go back.. in?"
Kissing her neck, Simon only made a negative moan at that, making Isabelle giggle. "ok then. just a little longer."

McKenize laughed as the song pulsed through the speakers. "I can't believe they actually played that! I was really only just joking!"
Eden smirked. "You know what they say, be careful what you wsih for."
McKenize rolled her eyes. "Whatever, darling."
Eden only smiled.

As Klayre and Cayden wonder over to the punch bowl, Cayden obviously and continuously stares at Klayres dress. Noticing she turns to him and raises a delicate eyebrow.
'Yes?" She implores.
Cayden smiles. "Well it's that dress. You look amazing"
"Cayden, you don't have a complimenting look on your face. I've seen this before sweetie. you've got that mischievous look back in your eyes. Like earlier when you wouldn't let me get dressed" She replied.
'Well you just looked to good in what you have on under this to have you cover it up. .... so how much do you really like this gown?"
Seeing what he had in mind Klayre quickly replies "Oh no! Oh no sir! This dress took a lot of care in making it! You cannot rip a single thread on this dress mister!"
Cayden is silent for a moment in disappointment. Then his face lights back up when another idea hits him.
"what about what's underneath it? Is that rippable?" he asks.
Quickly thinking about it Klayre turns to him and gives him a wink which he understands. They drink their punch with smiles on their lips and their thoughts a few miles away...

James looked over at Aimee Lynn, who was just staring at him expressionless. He waved a hand in front of her face, She suddenly smiled and turned to him. He grined back at her and turned on Time Is Running Out and led her on to the dance floor. He whispered the words to the song in to her ear. Aimee turned her face to his abruptly and kissed him, silencing the lyrics.

Isabelle sees Simon's watch as he is kissing her neck and stops him.
"Quick! we have 15 minutes!!"
Simon is loath to let her run back inside, but he knows how important this is to her, so he stops his seduction. "Alright." he sighs. "In you go." and he smacks her behind. "go mingle."
Isabelle grins and kisses him again. "thanks. We'll continue this later." At the last second, she grabs his hand and takes him along.

It seems everyone is having a wonderful time. But sadly the masquerade part is going to end in 10 MINUTES At Midnight Eastern time we will all reveal who we are.

Aline sighed and looked at the party around her. She didn't want this to end so soon. But I can't wait to see who everyone is!.
Rylan stared at his beloved. She was so lovely. And at the moment, she looked sad. So, he hugged her tightly. And brushed his lips on her forehead. Neither of them needed to say anything. The moment was perfect.

Damion and Alex moved their bodies rythmically on the dance floor to the beat of the music. "Less than ten minutes until the unmasking, " he said over the music so Alex could hear.
"Yes, and you've been hogging me all to yourself the whole time," Alex said in reply.
Damion looked down at his feet when she said this, fearing that he had upset her by wanting to be near her.
"Hey, I never said that I didn't like you hogging me to yourself. I enjoy it very much to be honest," Alex said while lifting his face up to look into his eyes so that he would see that she meant her words. And as soon as he realized she meant what she said, Damion planted a kiss firmly on her lips licking her lower lip, asking for entrance to explore. His hand tangled into her hair, while her hand remained under his chin where she had left it.
